Hélio Gracie interview
Hélio Gracie (born October 1, 1913) is the co-founder of "Gracie Jiu-Jitsu," also known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). He is a master of the discipline and is widely considered as one of the first sports heroes in Brazilian history; he was named Black Belt Magazine's Man of the Year in 1997. He is the father of the world-renowned fighters Rickson Gracie, Royler Gracie, Royce Gracie and UFC co-founder Rorion Gracie.
Relson Gracie Interview
Relson is the second oldest son of Helio Gracie, who along with Carlos Gracie, is credited for innovating the Kodokan Judo taught by Mitsuyo “Count Koma” Maeda into what is now known as Gracie or "Brazilian" Jiu Jitsu.
Helio Gracie Remembered
Jiu-jitsu Grand Master Helio Gracie passed away at the age of 95 in Brazil on January 29, 2009. On February 7, 2009 the Gracie Academy in Torrance, California, held a celebration of Helio Gracie's life and contribution in jiu-jitsu.
